Aquatics GB Championships 2026
Next week the fastest swimmers in Great Britain will descend upon the London Aquatic Centre for the biggest meet of the domestic calendar. The Aquatics GB Championships will take place from from 14th-19th April 2026. The event will play a key role for the selection of both swimming and para-swimming European championship teams and the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games team. Tickets are still available to purchase (at See Tickets or thorough the Aquatics GB site) for you to go and cheer on the big names we all know as well as our very own Hatfield swimmers, present and past.
Heats will start daily at 9:30am with finals commencing at 6pm. The B finals will be swum first with Open finals, Junior and Multi-classification finals to be competed following a pre-show interval. Finalists will qualify based on performances in heats and be classified into respective finals in the following format:
- Para-swimming final [MC]: Top eight seeded para-swimming qualifiers (multi-classification race format)
- Open Final [A]: Top eight seeded qualifiers
- Junior final [J]: Next top eight seeded athletes born between 2008-2012
- B final [B]: eight seeded athletes to have not qualified for either the Open or Junior final.

As you can imagine, just qualifying for this level of meet is a accomplishment in itself. This year the Pink Army have five swimmers representing us on the big stage with another three who are currently away swimmers at University. We wish them all the best of luck!
