ASA East Region 2015 Long Course Championships – 2nd weekend

The bank holiday weekend saw the turn of the Hatfield Swimming Club age group swimmers performing at their best at the second weekend of the East ASA Regional Championships, hosted by Inspire Luton.

Following in the footsteps of their youth team mates earlier in the month, Hatfield won another haul of medals. The team bagged themselves 8 golds, 4 silver and 3 bronze and many personal best times for all swimmers.

Reese Housden won 6 gold and 1 silver and was awarded the trophy for Top Male swimmerof the Championship. Michael Klimaszewski won 2 gold, 2 silver, Toby Laguda, 1 silver 2 bronze and Daniel Murtagh 1 bronze.

Over the 2 weekends of the Championships Hatfield won a huge total of 80 medals. This meant Hatfield finished as the overall top ranked club on the medals table in the East Region and were awarded the Warwick Thompson Memorial Trophy.

Congratulations to all our Regional swimmers on these excellent performances which showed the depth we have at both youth and age group levels.
