Harlow Penguin Meet

On Saturday, a group of young Hatfield swimmers travelled to the Harlow Penguins County Qualifier for a final meet before Christmas. Events on offer were 50’s, 100’s and 200’s of each stroke plus a 200 IM and 400 free. There were medals up for grabs for the top three in each age group of each event.

Many of the swimmers were looking for County times or trying to improve on their current consideration times to secure those all important County qualifying spots. Over the course of the day, they clocked numerous personal best times and also collected a good amount of medals!

It was fantastic to see the swimmers enjoying themselves. They raced well, worked on improving their skills and listened to their coaches for feedback. There were lots of smiling, happy faces.

Thank you to the coaches, officials, team managers and parents for all your help and support. It was a good meet and I’m sure we’ll be back again soon. See you at the pool again in the new year!
