Hatfield County Qualifier

Hatfield recently hosted our last meet of the calendar year. Our popular Christmas-themed County Qualifier was once again full and it was a busy weekend for all of our amazing volunteers as well as the swimmers. There was lots of fast swimming and personal best times with many swimmers achieving County qualifying or consideration standards.

Over the two days of racing, heats were held in all strokes of 50m, 100m and 200m events with 400m IM and 400m free also on the program. Those swimmers fast enough to qualify had the chance to swim again in junior and senior finals of 50m and 100m events. We also held our very exciting and popular Skins races where cash prizes and the coveted ducks were up for grabs!

There was also a chance to do some Christmas shopping with Aqua Swim Supplies and Tropics in attendance. Food was available outside in the food truck and there was a raffle with lots of lovely prizes. The awards this year were Christmas baubles which are sure to look lovely on any tree. Happily, we received lots of positive comments from visiting teams about the running of the meet and especially all the homemade treats that were available for coaches and officials.

With only a few more weeks left of the year, we now look forward to the Arena League final, Harlow Penguins County Qualifier and Winter Nationals to finish off 2025. Lets go Pink Army!
