Team Spirit Runs High at Peanuts

Saturday night saw the Pink Army racing at Westminster Lodge for the second round of Peanuts. We were hosting this round and relied on our strong contingent of volunteers to take on a variety of jobs and make sure the evening ran smoothly. Thanks to everyone who helped, ensuring the night was a success and the swimmers had lots of fun.

The teams racing in our gala this round were CoStA A and B, Watford, Verulam and  Berkhamsted. The competition was close all night and our swimmers fought hard for every point. Team spirit was high and the cheering loud – especially during the squadron when it becomes deafening!

It was great to see so many swimmers smiling throughout the night, thoroughly enjoying the experience. Everyone was supportive of each other and camaraderie was high. At the end of night, Hatfield placed 2nd just behind CoStA A so will go into the final round with everything to swim for!

The coaches were very pleased with the performance. There were some really good stand out swims on the night with overall good skills and technique on show. It was also evident that skills such as finishes had improved from round one. Let’s keep this up and look forward to further improvement for the final round.

As usual, our supporters were also in fine form, decked out in pink and supporting the whole team. Well done Pink Army. We look forward to the final and seeing who will be crowned this year’s champions.
