That’s a Wrap for Club Champs 2026
Sunday evening saw the fourth and final session of this year’s club champs. It was another busy session with swimmers racing hard to gain those all important PB’s and qualifying times for upcoming meets.
The night began with the 100m freestyle races. These were followed by the arduous 200m butterfly. Not too many swimmers attempted this feat of butterfly endurance, so well done to those that did! The 50m backstroke was next up. Shortly afterward was the 200m breaststroke then the night was rounded off by the 400m freestyle.
Well done to all the swimmers over the past few weeks of racing. Many PB’s have been achieved and lots of lessons learned with skills and race craft to be honed and practiced over the upcoming season. Keep listening to your coaches and focusing on that technique!
Thanks again, as always to all the volunteers that make it possible to run these events – it really does take an army! Please get involved if you aren’t already.
Special thanks to JB and Val for all the work they have done over the years in supporting the club and organising our meets. It is no mean feat and everyone at Hatfield thanks them for their dedication and hard work. This was the last meet run by them and the club will miss them.
