The Pink Army makes a strong start to Major League
Saturday night saw the first round of Herts Major League 2025. Last year, Hatfield were runners up in the league and our swimmers will be looking to go one better this year. We compete in Division 1 of HML against 11 other teams including local rivals CoStA, Watford and Potters Bar. The 3 rounds are split into galas of 6 teams competing in each.
The Pink Army made a strong start in the first round and finished first on the night in our side of the draw! There was some fantastic swimming as every place counted to gain us those all-important points. Swimmers pulled together, supporting each other and racked up a large number of wins on the night.
There were lots of good performances on the night and our relays really came together as seniors combined with younger swimmers in relay combinations that you don’t usually see in competitions. Daniel T was especially impressed with the younger mixed relays as they fought hard against the other teams.
The next round will be on March 22nd where will take on Watford, Cheshunt, Stevenage, Verulam and Ware. This will be back at the Stevenage pool again and the Pink Army will be pushing hard for another win!
