ASA EAST REGION AGE GROUP CHAMPS

 

Congratulations to all our swimmers who performed with distinction this weekend in Norwich at the Regional Championships for 11-14 year olds (plus distance events for all ages).  Whilst we must always remember that these events are only one small part of a swimmers’ learning journey and never a forecast or predictor of future outcomes, it is also nice to celebrate the successful performances… when they happen.  Although we would prefer the East Region to collate a top club points total to represent relative club strength, they only publish a medal table, which can obviously be easily skewed by single highly talented swimmers.  Nevertheless, our medal return was an impressive 11 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze over the three day event.  A big thank you and well done also to coaches Kevin Pickard, Ingrid Wilkes who were on deck for the meet, along with our various other coaches who have helped these swimmers over the last few months and years.
